Robertson & Robertson, P.A., Auto Accident Attorneys
Free Initial Consultation in Personal Injury Cases:
The experienced accident attorneys of Robertson & Robertson are uniquely qualified to represent you for your personal injury insurance claim if you are involved in a car, truck or motorcycle accident in Cambridge or elsewhere in Dorchester County.
To achieve the best possible settlement or recovery in a personal injury case arising from a car or truck accident, it is beneficial to hire an experienced attorney who is familiar with the area where the accident occurred. Such attorneys are likely to know how to conduct a local investigation, obtain information from the local police and contact witnesses in the area. And if a court case becomes necessary, it is advantageous to have an attorney who is experienced in the local courts.

In Eastern Shore accidents involving fatalities, serious injuries, drunk drivers, or drugged drivers, we monitor the local courts and often attend the local criminal hearing of the at-fault driver. This can be a valuable part of the investigation, as statements made in the traffic and criminal courts can be extraordinarily useful, and under certain circumstances a guilty finding can be used to establish civil liability for the personal injury case or insurance claim.
By properly investigating an accident, meticulously documenting every aspect of our client's injuries and losses, coordinating the various insurance coverages, preparing every claim submission to the insurance company with a high degree of organization, and doing all the "little things" right the first time, we are usually able to achieve the best possible result for our clients from the insurance company without the need to file a lawsuit.
Dorchester County Car and Truck Accident Trial Lawyers
In those situations when a personal injury lawsuit is necessary, we have the experience and know our way around the Dorchester County District and Circuit Courts. Several of the approximately 200 car and truck accident cases that Scott Robertson has tried in court have been in Dorchester County. In fact, Mr. Robertson was an attorney for the defense in a serious personal injury trial that lasted a full week and a half in the Circuit Court for Dorchester County (most personal injury trials last one or two days).
Former Insurance Company Attorney J. Scott Robertson has twice been voted Runner-Up as "Best Lawyer on the Eastern Shore" by readers of Metropolitan Magazine.
Scott Robertson has frequently been asked by insurance company adjusters and other personal injury lawyers to serve as a neutral case arbitrator for cases he is not involved in. They frequently site Scott's background (in previously defending car accident cases), experience (in handling auto accident cases since 1993), and familiarity with the Eastern Shore legal system as the reasons they selected him to conduct binding arbitration. This is indicative of the respect that insurance companies have for our law firm.
Attorney Scott Robertson spent the first several years of his career defending negligent drivers on behalf of the insurance companies that insured them. He represented several insurance companies over the years, but most of his work was for Allstate Insurance Company. In fact, he was personally involved in the majority of cases filed on the Eastern Shore against drivers insured by Allstate. Many of the personal injury cases he defended arose out of accidents that occurred in Dorchester County and were tried in the District and Circuit Court in Cambridge.
Since switching his practice several years ago from defending the insurance companies and the at-fault drivers to representing the injured victims of car and truck accidents, Scott Robertson has had the privilege to represent many Dorchester County residents for their car and truck accident claims. By meticulously preparing each client's claim, we can usually achieve a good personal injury settlement without the necessity of filing a lawsuit.
In addition to car accidents, we handle accidents involving tractor trailers, pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles and motor scooters. In those cases, it is even more important to get us involved as soon as possible after the crash so that we can conduct a thorough investigation before memories fade, witnesses disappear, and stories change.
We pride ourselves on accessibility and service to our clients. Our attorneys and staff promptly return phone calls and address client questions. The most frequent complaint about lawyers is that they do not return phone calls or keep their clients informed. We are just the opposite. You will love our communication and prompt response to your phone calls.
Our firm does NOT handle criminal law, real estate, divorce and child custody, business law, or anything other than personal injury law. We know the ins and outs of personal injury law, car, truck, motorcycle, motor scooter and pedestrian accidents, and insurance claims. We stand ready to assist you.
