There is no doubt that it is beneficial in accident cases to hire an experienced attorney who is familiar with the area where the accident occurred.  Such attorneys are likely to know who to call to conduct an investigation and the best places to go for treatment for a particular injury. And if a court case becomes necessary, it is advantageous to have an attorney who is experienced in the local courts (a court case is almost always filed in the county where the accident occurred).

Scott Robertson’s past experience as an insurance company lawyer gives him an advantage in representing the victims of car accidents for their injury claims.  We truly understand how the insurance companies handle car and truck accident cases.

Upon his graduation from law school in 1993, Scott Robertson was hired by the largest Eastern Shore law firm, and immediately began representing insurance companies in car and truck accident cases.  He spent the first eight years of his legal career defending negligent drivers on behalf of the insurance companies that insured them and suing uninsured drivers on behalf of several car insurance companies.  In fact, for several years Mr. Robertson he was personally involved in the majority of lawsuits filed on the Eastern Shore against individuals insured by Allstate Insurance Company.

Scott Robertson switched his practice several years ago from defending the insurance companies and the at-fault drivers to representing the injured victims of car and truck accidents.  His inside knowledge of how insurance companies evaluate car insurance claims and the strategies they use to minimize settlements is invaluable to his current clients.
